The Follow collection of ultra-adjustable and eco-friendly tables selected for the office of the international organization
The innovative collection of ultra-adjustable in height and eco-friendly Follow tables designed by Mara has been selected to furnish the offices of Hivos Headquarters: an important international development aid organization in the heart of The Hague, Holland.
Hivos provides financial support to organizations operating in Africa, Latin America and Asia, providing assistance and supporting knowledge sharing, particularly in the fields of social change, digital activism and rural innovation.
Completely redesigned by V8 Architects, the Sijthoff building is an icon of the Grote Marktstraat, one of the most important roads connecting several commercial areas in the heart of The Hague, visited by millions of people every year. The building draws its identity from the contemporary interpretation of the classic lines and curves of street department store architecture and fits perfectly into the existing buildings. Twelve characteristic bronze storks, more than five meters high, which seem to carry the building on their shoulders, are a clear architectural reference by the designers to the animal that has been a symbol of The Hague for hundreds of years.
The Follow Bench, with double desks joined by a single powder coated metal structure, integrate perfectly into the interior of the Hivos offices. They work quickly, safely and completely quietly without any power supply. With the simple touch of a handle placed under the top, they instantly adapt to the specific needs of their users, offering the possibility to adjust the height of their desk according to needs and comfort, in complete ergonomics.
Mara contributes, once again, to the modern workspaces with products that are technological, super-innovative and futuristic, which, thanks to their flexibility and dynamism, make it possible to remain active and guarantee productivity and well-being.
